Shopify needs the Carrier Calculated Shipping API which acts as a communication channel between the shipping rate provider app and Shopify. Only if the API is enabled, the rates will be fetched from the shipping rate provider app and sent to Shopify to be displayed at the checkout page.
Yes, we can add different shipping rates for different products with the Shipeasy app. When we setup a scenario, we can setup a product based condition and set different rates for different products. This condition can be set based on the product tag, name,SKU, barcode, dimensions, etc.
No. Once you install the shipeasy app and enable the carrier calculated Shipping API, you must setup your scenarios with the suitable shipping rates, for the rates to be seen at checkout.
Yes. We can use two different tags for each product and then use these tags in the combine shipping rate section. Here we can choose to show the highest, lowest, sum or average of the combined rates.
No, it’s not possible to get the rates at the checkout page without enabling the carrier calculated API as this is the communication channel to fetch the rates from the app and send it to Shopify to be displayed at the checkout page.
